Most people who are trying to lose weight agree that motivation is particularly difficult when the weather changes, so what if you could stay committed to your exercise plan and diet just by viewing a hypnotherapy weight loss DVD or listening to a CD? Better yet, a hypnotherapy weight loss program can reduce your compulsions too.
Self hypnosis for weight loss works simply, but effectively, by leading you to a deeply relaxed state during which your unconscious can more easily receive post-hypnotic suggestions, such as the ones that will keep you motivated to keep on your fitness track, even in the middle of winter.
It is a fact that if a person exercises, it will speed up his/her metabolism and increase the rate that weight is lost. Some of the most successful hypnotherapy for exercise motivation techniques comes from Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP. With NLP, the unconscious is programmed to use the very same thought processes that are initiating a problem, to do away with it. In other words, the same thought processes that the unconscious utilizes to create cravings and oral compulsions could be used to completely stop them! And similarly, the same processes can be used to increase your motivation to exercise.
Anchoring is an NLP practice that can be used to give you a “switch” for sparking feelings and behaviors. Creating a hypnosis diet control anchor works simply and effectively like this: A qualified hypnotherapy weight loss professional will safely guide you into a tranquil hypnotic state. Then the hypnotherapist will ask you to recall a time when you were happy and excited about anything in your life.
The point of this exercise is to remember and re-experience as many sensations as you are able to from numerous times in your life when you felt motivated and eager to do anything you wanted. Then, the weight loss hypnosis therapist will ask you to anchor those feelings by simply touching two fingers together.
Next, you will be asked to visualize yourself working out and enjoying it. As you establish this mental image, you will trigger your anchor by touching those two fingers together again. When you do that, your unconscious will connect the feeling of eagerness and excitement from the other memory to the thought of exercising.
From this point on, whenever you need to feel motivated to exercise, you can simply trigger your anchor and re-experience those same positive feelings that will motivate you to workout. NLP and weight loss hypnosis can even be helpful to discourage behaviors, so you can easily overcome cravings. That sounds much easier and encouraging than beating yourself up for missing a workout or giving into temptation, doesn’t it?
A successful weight loss hypnosis program will also deal with the root cause of weight gain for many of us, namely a lack of self-esteem. In a relaxed state, you can accept post-hypnotic suggestions that will develop your self-esteem as you lose each pound. A self-esteem deficiency is a big factor in being overweight.
A lot of people wonder if, after attempting every new diet and buying every piece of exercise equipment on the market, something as straight forward as weight loss hypnosis can work for them. The good news is that research shows that all normal people are hypnotizable to a greater or lesser extent. However, it is important to note that people who have less than a 70 I.Q. or those who are in an active state of psychosis or with senility typically are not hypnotizable.
But for the rest of us, self hypnosis for weight loss can actually make us look forward to eating healthily and working out. That said, the main proponent for success in any fitness program, whether it embraces weight loss hypnosis or not, is wanting to achieve your weight loss goals.
On a related note, that is exactly why you can not force someone to undergo weight loss self hypnosis just by giving them suggestions. If someone is opposed to an idea, no amount of weight loss hypnosis they see or hear will take hold. Looking to the NLP explanation above, if someone does not have a memory of feeling motivated or positive, they can still experience success with NLP and hypnotherapy because they can visualize what it would feel like if they did feel that way, and anchor those imagined feelings.
So, if you are like many of us and find your drive dwindling as the temperatures drop and the days get darker, weight loss hypnosis can help regain (or maintain) your passion for carrying out and finally reaching your fitness aspirations.

We’ve all heard it or even said it one time or another: “I can’t lose weight because of my metabolism.” It’s convenient to blame our extra pounds on an abstract idea like metabolism, but let’s look at the real importance of metabolism – and better yet, how you can get the most “burn” for your buck by recharging your metabolism.
In the most basic sense, metabolism includes all of the physical and chemical changes that occur inside the cells of the body. Most often, though, metabolism refers to the process in which the body obtains and uses energy from food, so it really does play an important role in weight gain and loss.
Not everyone is born with the same metabolism, and our rates actually change throughout our lives, so someone who blames their metabolism isn’t necessarily making excuses. Age affects metabolism, which will slow about 5% every 10 years after age 40, and by gender, as males typically burn more calories at rest than females and by the amount of muscle mass you have (more muscle generally means a higher metabolic rate). Heredity also impacts metabolism, not to mention pregnancy, as well as whether a woman chooses to breast-feed.
Despite all of the wild cards, the simple fact is that if your calorie intake exceeds your metabolism, excess energy will get stored in the body as fat. Though some of the factors affecting metabolic rate can’t be changed, fortunately, there are ways to rev up the metabolism you’re born with.
The first rule is to eat the right foods in the correct amounts. When you skip a meal, your body goes into starvation mode, which slows metabolism to conserve calories, because it doesn’t know when it will be fed again. And when the metabolism slows down, so does your weight loss.
When you finally do eat after having skipped a meal, instead of burning the calories in the food you’ve just eaten, your body converts them to body fat to store for the next “fast.” To keep your metabolism efficient, eat 4 – 6 small meals spread evenly throughout the day and try to eat close to the same times each day. Most importantly, never skip a meal.
You can also step up your metabolic rate with exercise, including both aerobic workouts and weight training. Aerobic activities, such as running, biking and dancing, burn more calories in the short term while weight training will build more muscle, which boosts metabolism and burns more calories in the long term – even when you’re sitting still, muscle uses more calories to function than fat.
In fact, every pound of muscle burns 35 calories a day, while each pound of fat burns just 2 calories per day. Despite this, you may be surprised that the more weight you have, the faster your metabolism is likely to run. Simply put, the extra weight makes your body work harder to maintain its processes.
This is partly why it’s almost always easiest to lose weight when you begin diet, and gets harder as you go along because, when you are significantly overweight, your metabolism is already at a high rate, so that even a minor reduction in calories will give you an immediate weight loss.
But what happens after that immediate loss, when a plateau occurs and motivation seems to go by the “weigh” side? Old cravings and compulsions can quickly return, and when they do, don’t overlook a valuable resource – weight loss hypnosis. Hypnotherapy can actually retrain your unconscious mind so that, in essence, you can eliminate food cravings. When we look at why we snack, understanding why weight loss hypnosis works so well becomes clear.
For most of us, snacking has become a habit – perhaps you do it automatically when you’re watching TV or driving or when you’re under stress. Hypnosis can actually reprogram your thoughts to break those associations, leaving you to watch TV or drive without feeling the need to eat.
One of the most successful Lose weight hypnosis methods for breaking the snacking cycle is Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP, which relies on negotiating with the unconscious and getting it to use the same thought processes that are creating your appetite, to eliminate your appetite. NLP takes many years of study and practical experience for a hypnotherapist to learn and master, but positive results can come very rapidly and seem almost magical to someone who has always suffered from cravings.
NLP can be just as important as exercise and motivation because, as you read above, because it can help make sure that you eat the right kinds of foods at the right times, and this is a key element to turbo-charging your metabolism. If you want to keep your metabolism at full speed and make sure that all of your exercise and hard work aren’t going to waste by giving into your food temptations, Weight Loss Hypnosis and NLP can be a secret weapon to eliminate your cravings altogether.
For the last several years, I’ve purchased every new piece of exercise equipment that came down the pike. Now I have enough equipment to furnish about two large gymnasiums. The problem is I just don’t have the motivation to exercise, so I don’t make the time for it. I knew that the benefits would be great, but making it a priority was hard for me, so I just don’t do it. Lack of exercise motivation was the only thing standing between a fit, toned body and me.
Given my poor track record with exercise, I was very excited when my boss recently asked me to review the exercise motivation hypnosis Program called “Urge To Exercise!” published by Neuro-VISION, Inc.. Initially I was quite skeptical, but Alan B. Densky, CH, the Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) expert who has many years of experience as a hypnotherapist, authored the program. He uses NLP and hypnosis motivation techniques that are supposed to give you a powerful urge to exercise.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with each session, or what was involved, but I was very pleasantly surprised. When I listened to the CD, I was instructed to either sit down in a comfortable recliner, or to lie on my bed. The sessions really brought a feeling of comfort and peace to my otherwise stressed out personality.
These are not sessions of someone with a shiny swinging object trying to hypnotize you. These sessions employ powerful NLP techniques that will impact your exercise motivation and start you in the right direction. The thought patterns that you learn at the unconscious level of mind will give you the urge to exercise, as well as a strong desire to exercise consistently. Maybe you need a little push to get going on your exercise routine; and this is just the program to help you increase your exercise motivation.
I’ve received incredible benefits from this program; I noticed immediate improvement in my level of motivation to exercise, as well as my urge to exercise consistently. All of the other priorities that I had previously put before exercise just do not seem to matter as much; my exercise motivation is now number one.
I feel better and look better and now I look forward to working out. My exercise motivation is very high, and I want to keep working out because it makes me feel good about myself. Thanks to my new level of physical activity, my metabolic rate has increased. I’ve been able to lose weight, and I feel great. I look forward to shopping for clothes, or going to the beach to show off the results of my work! I truly have an “Urge To Exercise!” and I give a thumbs up to this program.
